'Keep It Simple, of High Value and Easily Accessible'

About MOTI

This MOTI resource covers a lot of territory and is very comprehensive, however its’ primary focus is to help enable organisations to effectively and successfully implement transformation and change, for example, to move from a centralised operating model to a virtual operating model.

Mountains

Mission

MOTI  has a simple philosophy:

  1. Make it real, relevant and practical

  2. Make it accessible; simple to find whatever you are looking for

  3. Build on a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS ) compliant platform

  4. Provide personnel with:

  •  An understanding of the elements of managing transformation/change, strategies and methods.

  • A checklist to ensure an organisation’s designated transformation/change managers are doing all the right things correctly.

MOTI is not intended to be a lengthy/textual discourse on managing transformation/change for two reasons:

  1. Firstly, which manager has the time to read a voluminous, wordy text resource?

  2. Secondly, a lengthy text resource doesn’t mean the answer is readily available, especially when needed by the manager

Comprehensive

Depending on the industry and size of the organisation, any transformation undertaking can be very complex, and a missed facet in hindsight could spell considerable pain, so we have endeavoured to make this resource as complete yet as simple as possible.

It is therefore:

  1. Visual - the resource is based on a graphic model that clearly shows every step a transformation initiative needs to follow, and this translates into useful content via downloadable or online accessible PDFs called ‘Information Papers’

  2. Accessible - information is standalone and easy to get to, no matter what you are looking for.

  3. Easy to understand and follow - all information contained in the Information Papers is kept to easy-to-understand English, and wherever possible, technical jargon has been avoided

  4. High Value - the input to this resource came from published works, over 100 years of experience of the authors, past clients and was supported by artificial intelligence wherever possible

  5. Supported - it doesn't matter in which part of the world you live; support is available at the end of an email - replies can be expected within 24 hours, wherever possible.

Vision

Our vision is simple: we would like to see as many organisations as possible benefit from a simple, high-quality, customisable, pragmatic approach to managing transformation and change AND that they can view it all as one big picture—and can drill down where required.

Who is the intended audience for MOTI?

The MOTI resource is intended to provide guidance and information to four categories of managers:

  1. ‘C Suite’ Executives, Partners and Directors.

  2. Senior Managers who need to understand all the critical issues, steps and methods required to conduct a transformation / change initiative.

  3. All Middle Managers who wish to better understand the practical aspects of managing transformation / change and of course their staff and stakeholders.

  4. Owners of smaller companies who need to manage the transformation / change project themselves.

What MOTI  'is' and 'is not'

Young Accountant_edited.jpg

The authors of MOTI respect the fact that it is you who knows about your own business.

Hence, the authors have provided a framework that …

  1. Can capture your knowledge … i.e. your understanding of your own environment, your culture, industry peculiarities etc.

  2. Provides a framework that can capture your ideas for the future

  3. Is cognizant of how critical it is to keep up with technology and new ways of doing things – e.g. Artificial Intelligence

  4. Minimizes risk

  5. Is realistic yet optimistic, pragmatic yet innovative and ‘fresh’

  6. Place the things you need to do on a plan / a ‘roadmap’

  7. Make sure that you are well educated on the best way to pragmatically move forward

  8. Provide you with the necessary confidence that everything has been thought of

  9. Ensure you are well supported

  10. Measure your success

Your organisation, hence, needs to determine what the changes will be, for example, having part of your personnel workforce working remotely and/or rationalizing your range of products/services etc.

Once you have made those decisions, this MOTI resource will provide your organisation with the wherewithal/knowledge required to reduce risk and help to manage and implement these changes.
